MEDICAL HISTORY AND
BLOOD PRESSURE READINGS
- The main side effects of Appetite Suppressants are high blood pressure and heart rate changes
- If you have any change in your medical history or recent visit to your GP you must inform us whenever you request a repeat prescription
- Please also inform us if you are Pregnant or planning for a baby in the near future
- It is mandatory to check your blood pressure every 3 months to monitor for side effects of the medication you may have been prescribed
- New Patients: Must come in for a face-to-face consultation in of our clinics for Blood Pressure and Heart Rate Monitoring. In special circumstances we can accept BP taken at a GP Practice or a Pharmacy (but must be taken within 3 months)
- Existing Patients: Must have their BP taken at least once every 6 months at one of our clinics or at a GP/Pharmacy. If you are a known hypertensive you should have your BP checked regularly every 3 months
- Patients can also record their own BP and Heart Rate but the readings obtained should be from a reliable and approved device
